【時報-記者柯婉琇綜合外電報導】雖然競爭加劇與供貨吃緊對南韓與美國的銷售業務造成衝擊，但在中國業務強勁增長的支撐下，現代汽車第二季淨利逼近去年同期創下的歷史新高，表現超出市場預期。

現代汽車宣布，第二季淨利為2.52兆韓元（約22.6億美元），優於市場預期的2.39兆韓元，去年同期淨利為2.55兆韓元，今年第一季淨利為2.09兆韓元；營業利益為2.41兆韓元，營收為23.18兆韓元。

儘管中國經濟成長放緩，現代汽車上半年在中國的營收仍較去年同期大增36%。因薪資問題談不攏，南韓工會在3/9～6/1期間拒絕在周未上工，使國內出貨及外銷美國與其他市場的業務均受到影響，現代汽車上半年在南韓的營收下跌0.7%，在美國的營收僅小升1.2%；因歐洲經濟持續低迷，現代汽車上半年在歐洲的營收下滑9%。
