歐洲隊兩大挑戰 拚衛冕、破魔咒

2013年索罕盃，此次歐洲隊面臨不小的壓力，領軍的Liselotte Neumann，肩負著兩項任務：挑戰隊史首度衛冕，以及突破客場不勝魔咒。

1990年索罕盃開辦以來，美國隊在主場保持全勝紀錄，歐洲隊作客吞下6連敗，她們將尋求在美國本土的第一次勝利。

2011年率領歐洲隊在愛爾蘭擊敗美國隊的Alison Nicholas 表示：「顯然這是非常困難的任務，我們從沒有在美國拿下勝利，這就是我們想要改變的。」

Nicholas指出，這是艱難的挑戰，因為知曉美國隊是多麼強悍，以及地主球迷多麼熱情，「我知道這不會折損女孩們想贏的心情，但是她們會打得很辛苦。」

美國隊除要保持主場不敗紀錄，還要報上回落敗之仇，5度參與索罕盃的「粉紅豹」Paula Creamer說：「我們已經等了兩年，要準備奪回我們的獎盃。」

粉紅豹也指出，大家都知道美國隊在主場沒輸過，多少替她們添加點壓力，「我認為觀眾的加油，對我們有極大的激勵作用。」
