休士頓火箭季前訓練營完成三天訓練，一切都處於重建狀態，火箭一哥是誰？教練麥克海爾 (Kevin McHale)仍然沒有答案，擁有九名新人加入訓練營，其中包括先發中鋒和戰術核心之一哈沃德 (Dwight Howard)，火箭如何在最短時間形成默契，還是莫大考驗。

麥克海爾非常保守的說，「我們必須相互熟悉，度過磨合期，建立彼此默契，我們並不急於確定誰是球隊老大。」

他強調，「球隊領袖這說法有很多定義，主要還是看每個人怎麼去看待，有些球員非常拚命，帶動球隊士氣和精神，這是一種精神領袖，也有充滿智慧和經驗的老球員，他們可以帶領球隊前進，幫助隊友脫離難關。」

究竟哈沃德是最新的火箭一哥？還是全隊得分王哈登(James Harden)才是火箭老大？火箭由誰來擔任場上領袖和休息室精神指標？麥克海爾仍很猶豫。
