楊祐寧在《總舖師》中以讓人爆笑的奇特腔調演活了料理醫生，但他最喜歡的一場戲，卻是由吳念真演出的憨人師，在地下基地對女主角夏于喬解說壁畫上的古早辦桌人情：「可能因為我們家是開餐廳的，很能夠了解廚師的心情，就是那種其實也沒有賺到什麼，但是賺到了人情、賺到友情、大家開心，你們開心，我們也會覺得很幸福的感覺。」
