任容萱主演三立、東森《我的自由年代》前晚首播反應佳，她藏起長髮，戴妹妹頭假髮賣萌，重現90年代學生樣，被姊姊Selina笑虧模樣好呆，有些像她們的媽媽，網友則說：「以前對任容萱沒感覺，現在覺得她好可愛！」戲中她傻氣單純，其實戲外也少根筋，她演三立的戲，竟不識三立總經理張榮華！

製作人張曼娜說，有一次要拍李國毅騎機車載任容萱兜風的戲，張榮華建議可到淡水大度路上拍，說90年代大學生都流行去那邊「啪七仔（追女友）」，不料晚上到了現場，發現街道少光源很難拍，正苦思如何解決，任容萱竟在旁天真問：「他是誰？為什麼要聽他的？」工作人員嚇一跳，猛虧她白目：「妳完蛋了！竟然不知道老闆是誰。」
