天普大學校友捐贈母校2,500萬

【大紀元2013年12月02日訊】11月20日，天普大學（Temple University）校友路易斯‧卡茨（Lewis Katz）表示，要向母校捐贈2,500萬美金，這將是天普大學有史以來獲得的最大一筆捐贈。

卡茨1963年畢業於天普大學生物系，畢業後事業順遂，經營停車場和房地產生意獲得成功。他曾經是新澤西職業冰球隊「魔鬼」(Devils)和NBA「網」隊（New Jersey Nets）的老闆，現在是《費城問詢報》（Philadelphia Inquirer）、《費城每日新聞報》（Philadelphia Daily News）和新聞網站Philly.com的合夥人。他把事業上的成功歸於在天普大學接受的教育。

與許多同學一樣，卡茨畢業後與母校失去聯繫。他說是一位天普大學的同學，喜劇演員比爾‧考斯比（Bill Cosby）說服他與母校重新建立聯繫。卡茨於1998年加入天普大學董事會。
