黃韻玲模樣清秀，但已50歲，她日前拍保養品廣告，笑說廣告商找上門時也意外她的實際年齡，她日前上傳裝可愛大頭狗自拍照，雖被網友吐槽「大媽，夠了！」但她絲毫不介意回說「是伯母」。

「我兒子都17歲了，我50是事實，沒甚麼好掩飾。」自認從事音樂工作是讓她保持年經的原因，也承認50歲確實是奇妙的關卡，真讓她感受到身體機能的退化，「我工作結束，也想跟朋友喝喝小酒，但大家玩得開心，我眼皮卻重得不得了。」

她為培養抗老體力，開始練太極，她過去總急著錄影、創作，但去年她出車禍，也發生版權糾紛，「這些事提醒我該放慢腳步好好生活」，她過去常為工作的事緊張兮兮，但現反能淡然面對，今年雖計畫發片、出書，但也說「不急，慢慢做」。

她慶幸能專注在音樂工作多年，但也發現把精力全放在創作的結果，卻是讓自己成為沒常識的人，她笑說：「直到最近才知道，紅茶不能同時加牛奶跟檸檬汁，因為牛奶遇酸會結凍。」她最近也報名咖啡烘焙課，讓自己品味生活。
