「我們得在這世界活下去，戰鬥吧，這就是我們的世界。」很多時候，我們希望電影能引領人們前往他方，經歷一場奇幻的冒險，或者是，遨遊物外的想像世界。然而，《聽說桐島退社了》卻提點我們：現實世界，永遠是奇幻的原生地。電影描述用八釐米鏡頭在校園拍攝殭屍片的電影社社長前田，如何堅持夢想，擺脫由指導老師正在執筆撰寫的純愛、青春高校的劇本。事實上，指導老師偏愛的劇本，電影巧妙地經由另一群同學（校園風雲組），進行演出。桐島是校內的頂尖風雲人物，他像是空白主體一般，從頭到尾不曾現身，反倒是以桐島為中心運轉的同學們，產生連續性的結構崩壞，或者稱之為：存在質疑。宏樹是風雲組內，最早察覺虛無狀態的人，他與桐島之間，令人想到大江健三郎筆下的奇妙二人組。冷眼觀看「後桐島時代」的宏樹，同時間，棒球隊隊長與前田，則不停提醒他：何謂小人物們的戰鬥。因此，當片末，前田在頂樓大喊，「攻擊，這裡採紀錄片風格。」扮演殭屍的社員開始攻擊校園勝利組時，你赫然發現：這不只是小人物的反擊，更顛覆了純愛、青春為主旋律的影像，改以殭屍食人的Ｂ級片為主，兼融現實、奇幻為一體的人生「歡謬劇」。 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.112.4.181
