恢復平靜 緬取消中部緊急狀態

（法新社仰光20日電） 緬甸國營媒體報導，當局今天取消了中部動亂區自3月實施的緊急狀態。當地有數十人因宗教暴亂而喪生。

「緬甸新光報」（New Light of Myanmar）報導，麥克蒂拉鎮（Meiktila）和附近一帶進入緊急狀態的命令取消，「因為和平穩定已恢復」。

根據官方資料，麥克蒂拉發生的佛教徒和回教徒衝突，共造成44人喪生。有些人認為，死亡人數遠不止於此。

人權團體指控安全部隊，出面阻止暴亂的速度太慢。

佛教徒攻擊回教徒事件，暴露出以佛教徒為主的這個國家陷入嚴重分裂，也使緬甸擺脫軍事統治一事蒙上陰影。回教徒占緬甸人口4%。
