里程碑！Google Play app正式突破100萬個 超越蘋果

全球智慧手機作業系統龍頭 Android 的開發商 Google ( (US-GOOG) ) 周三 (24 日) 宣布，旗下應用程式 (app) 線上商店 Google Play 提供的 app 數量，已正式突破 100 萬個，超越對手蘋果 (Apple)( (US-AAPL) ) 的 App Store 上個月宣布的 90 萬個 app。

Android 比蘋果的 iOS 行動作業系統晚起步，提供的 app 數量也長期落後。不過隨著 Android 手機市占大幅躍進，為該系統開發的 app 數量也跟著迅速攀升。《Phone Arena》報導，Google 在這方面亦有重大進步，支付更多報酬給 Android app 的開發人員。

如今，Google 的 Android 及 Chrome 部門主任 Sundar Pichai 在舊金山發表會場宣布，Google Play 的 app 數量已由一年前的 50 萬個翻倍增，下載次數也由200 億次飆破 500 億次，每位 Android 使用者帶來的 app 營收更大增 2.5 倍。

《Mashable》網站指出，蘋果 App Store 的 app 數量自上個月宣布至今，可能也已突破 100 萬個，但 Google 卻是率先宣布達標者。
