〔自由時報記者趙新天／綜合報導〕左手名將米寇森一直很喜歡與「老虎」伍茲同組比賽，昨天他證明了這點，德意志銀行錦標賽第1回合，他打出63桿，和英格蘭的戴維斯並列領先。

米寇森打下1個老鷹、8個博蒂、2個柏忌，若最後在第9洞沒有吞下柏忌，有機會單獨領先。同組的伍茲說：「米寇森今天打得令人印象深刻。」伍茲打出68桿，暫時並列34名。

他們從後9洞開賽後，米寇森火力全開，後9洞就抓了7隻小鳥，早早站上領先位置；回到前9洞雖以柏忌開頭，但他馬上在第2洞精采地打下老鷹，讓他非常滿意，有機會讓他贏得年度最佳球員獎。

米寇森一直到2007年德意志銀行錦標賽才克服與伍茲同組的心理障礙，在那之前他和伍茲同組結果都不太好，經曾指導過伍茲的教練哈蒙提點，米寇森才能自在地面對世界第1高手；2007年之後，兩人15次同組，米寇森有9次成績優於伍茲。
