歐巴馬：參議院協商已有「一些進展」兩院領袖即將大會談

《MarketWatch》周一 (14日) 報導，美國總統歐巴馬將於本日美東時間下午 15：00，會見兩黨國會領袖展開對談，望解決債務大限逼近，以及政府關門進入第 14 天的問題。

歐巴馬發言指出，參議院方已經出現「一些進展」，共和黨們承認：「讓美國步入違約，對人民來說既不明智又後患無窮」。他認為政府原本毫無必要邁入部份關門局面，並再度敦促所有高層官員們，盡快重啟政府營運。

一位白宮官員透露，歐巴馬將於下午 3 點，和參議院多數黨領袖 Harry Reid、參議院共和黨領袖 Mitch McConnell、眾議院發言人 John Boehner 和眾議院民主黨領袖 Nancy Pelosi 會見進行談話。

周一美東早上，跨黨派的 12 位參議員們已先行展開會談，希望敲定提高 16.7 兆美元的債務上限，並重新開啟政府。
