有關防水透氣衣洗滌方式，基本上當然可以洗滌，且使用正確的洗滌方式，較能夠保持衣服的功能性。

基本上所有品牌的防水透氣衣都千萬要記得，就是絕不能用乾洗，否則會嚴重損害衣服、立即報銷。清洗時洗潔劑要用中性洗潔劑，或知名專用洗潔劑，局部較髒的地方稍微清潔一下，再用洗衣袋包起來放進洗衣機低溫慢速清洗，並且不要與其他衣物混在一起洗，這樣對衣服比較有保護作用。

部分標明可以熨燙的衣服，盡量用較低溫度〈洗標都有標建議溫度〉，隔著另一塊布料作熨燙，因為一般防水布料材質為聚脂材質，受到高溫容易變形、損害。

※防水透氣衣的功能性隨著使用次數、清洗次數，防水性會慢慢減低，所以適當的洗滌方式，好的照顧方式，可以延長使用壽命，這點非常重要。
