LED全名為發光二極體
他是點狀式發光因此一顆根本不亮要非常多顆才會亮

以現在常見的紅綠燈都是LED你仔細看很多紅綠燈
實際上都有幾顆LED已經熄滅了但因為他是全面性的因此只有幾顆
不至於影響到亮度而隨著時間使用他會越來越多顆熄滅最後亮度降低

他本身和傳統燈泡相比是很省電沒錯且壽命更長

LED也是有壽命連續點亮不熄滅約可亮5年吧
不過目前世界上壽命最常的燈泡不是LED而是傳統的鎢絲燈泡

目前記錄那顆燈泡已經亮112年了
他在美國的一個消防隊內目前持續在亮....

LED本身因為耗電量低因此不需要常換電瓶況且根本沒人在保養燈泡
燈泡也因為有燈殼包著因此也不會有灰塵問題
