佛性是否可以成立第九識？

宇宙根源的實在，存在著於佛境涯所覺知的第九識阿摩羅識，阿摩羅識識[無污]之義，因此第九識也稱為根本清靜識，無垢識，就如天台大師說：[九是佛識](金光明玄義)阿摩羅識佛所覺知的領域，藉由湧現此清淨無垢的生命，才能畫下善惡抗衡的終止符，連刻畫在第八識的種種業也得以淨化，改變。

九識論是教示佛法生命觀的法理之一，九識論原本是印度大乘佛教學派的唯識學派(瑜珈行派)所立的法理，後為天台宗所繼承,日本日蓮聖人也應用此法理。

又說：妙法蓮華經是九識，十界是八識以下，古德之言：心地持九識，修行於六識，實是至理。

第九識是心王，它是支持至第八識為止的生命種種作用的基磐，同時若發現第九識的宇宙大生命力，則八識為止的作用一切都會轉化為清淨的智慧。
