「猴抓妹」陳維芊４月被控夜店偷竊2000多元及智慧型手機，日前遭起訴竊盜罪，她８日在臉書坦承丟臉做錯事，又喊冤報導與事實有出入，她目前在歐洲，陳父昨說看到新聞才知道女兒出事：「她從小很乖很單純，一定有什麼誤會。」不相信女兒會順手牽羊。

陳維芊家在台中，是獨生女，陳父說全家都擔心得要命，「她從小念的就是好學校，家裡也不缺錢，怎麼可能會做這種事？」24歲的陳目前是政大延畢生，陳父說每個月都匯零用金給她。

她的前經紀人說，「她對演藝工作比較不積極，同期的雞排妹前進很多，她卻停滯不前。」陳曾在臉書上說不習慣演藝圈，「討厭即使是最膚淺的節目話題都還要Re稿，討厭藝人為了做效果要誇大故事情節，這一切我都覺得很假又很笨。」
