CNBC：醫療費拖垮美國經濟，170萬人今年恐破產

美國醫療費昂貴眾所皆知，CNBC.com引述個人理財網站NerdWallet報告進一步指出，昂貴的醫藥制度已導致近兩百萬個美國人在破產邊緣掙扎，付不出醫藥費未來恐將成為美國人宣告破產的最大主因。

NerdWallet估計，光是今年就會有170萬人因繳不起醫療費用而破產，另外還有約560萬的成年美國人(19至64歲)也會因醫療相關費用而岌岌可危。

NerdWallet副總裁Christina LaMontagne表示，多數美國人將破產歸咎於積欠卡債或繳不出房貸，但追根究底分析原因之後，龐大醫療費用支出迫使家庭必須舉債消費才是主因。據統計，每五件破產案中就有三件是與醫療費有關。
